"As an artist, I am always striving to observe and experience my surroundings to their fullest potential and everything they have to offer. Seeing colors as they are, shapes made by shadows, the smells and feelings cultivated within an environment. It is a joy to take all those elements and then find a way to put it on paper with color and texture and lines and shapes, capturing all those qualities and feelings within a piece of art, so that it can be revisited every time you look at that piece. It is one of the best aspects about creating - art can tell stores, hold memories, posses emotions, and bring life into a space."
